Aldiss Store Extension, Fakenham

Client:
W J Aldiss
Architect:
Kilngrove Ltd
Project Duration:
16 weeks
Value:
£177,000

WJ Aldiss is a department store started by the Aldiss Family in 1892. The Fakenham store has evolved and grown over the years. In 2011 Pentaco Construction won a tender to build an extension to create a new front entrance that is more in keeping with the brink and flint buildings of the surrounding area.

The new look and feel gives our customers a better shopping experience and allows us to display a wider range from the Gift and Linen departments.

The works also included the recladding of the building behind the new front entrance.

The store remained open throughout our works and we needed to liaise closely with the client to ensure the construction activities did not adversely affect the stores trading.
