The £1.2M project, carried out over 3 storeys of the building, was procured under a JCT Minor Building Works Contract 2011 with Contractor’s Design, with the design portions including the mechanical and electrical installations. Further consideration was made within the programme for liaising and integrating the works of employer direct specialist contractors responsible for IT equipment, audio/visual equipment and security access controls. The remaining scope of works included for demolition and strip out of internal partitions and doors; forming of new meeting rooms; new floor finishes; modifications to existing ceilings; new tea stations; modifications to raised access flooring including floor boxes; The works were completed to the construction programme and within the employer’s budget.
