Pentaco Construction were awarded the main contract works with regards to the demolition and alteration of the existing studios and editing suites at Anglia House, Norwich. The works were undertaken in close co-ordination and liaison with ITV, ensuring recording schedules remained live throughout the project.

The works included the demolition & removal of reinforced concrete structures forming the existing studios, load bearing walls and retention of a suspended service void containing all the live ventilation, electricity and data to the active studios and building to be retained. The re-fit works comprised of the design & installation of mechanical, electrical and data services, 500m2 of raised access flooring, secondary glazing systems including an 8m frameless glazed wall, new flooring & suspended ceiling with high specification lighting units and a modern kitchen facility with Hanex moulded worktops and quality appliances.

Numerous additional elements and areas of work were integrated into to the contract, maximising the budget available and delivering a high quality facility forming a modern newsroom, editing suite and office.
