Gymnasium handed over to Chelmsford City Council

Pentaco completed the construction of the first floor gymnasium at the Chelmsford Sports and Athletic Centre on the 9th December. This enabled the client to fit out the facility and it was officially opened prior to Christmas in readiness for what was expected to be a busy period straight into the new year.  The completion date could not be moved so we worked round the clock to complete the facility whilst absorbing additional works instructed by the client.

Listed barn in Southolt to receive complete restoration

Construction is currently underway on a planned extension to a grade II listed house and full restoration of a grade II listed barn and outbuildings. The project is full of challenges. A complicated shaped extension with a variety of external finishes, brickwork, sweet chestnut cladding and coloured rendering with composite windows under a zinc roof provide several coordination issues, whilst the reinforced beam foundations on CFA piles adjacent to a water course is a logistical challenge. The project duration is 16 weeks and commenced in October last year.
