East Anglian general building contractor Pentaco Construction has expanded its building activities in Anglia and the South East region with the opening of a new office in Chelmsford, Essex.
The new premises at Waterhouse Business Centre in Cromar Way will support the company’s growing construction operations in North London, Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk.
“Chelmsford is an ideal location for the business. Not only is it in the centre of Essex but it’s within easy striking distance of London, the M25 corridor and the Thames Gateway – three major development areas where we expect to see significant construction demand over the next few years, particularly for building projects in our value range which is up to £3 million,” explains Andrew Richman, Pentaco Construction regional business development manager who will be heading up the new Chelmsford team.
By opening an office in Chelmsford, Pentaco Construction expects to create new employment opportunities in the area over the next 12 months. “We believe in creating local jobs for local people. That is why we are committed to developing our local supply chain in Chelmsford and in the communities where we are building so we can generate as much work for local companies as possible. This business approach is good for us, good for our subcontractors and good for the local economy,” says Andrew. “It also helps to minimise our carbon footprint by reducing the mileage and travelling distances involved in the construction projects we deliver.”
Pentaco Construction, which has its head offices in Norwich, undertakes building projects from £20,000 up to £3 million in value, ranging from new build residential and industrial schemes to refurbishment projects and fast-track office fit-outs. The company has specialist expertise in building for the health, commercial and residential sectors.
