John Innes Centre, CSB Office Refurbishment

Pentaco Construction were selected to carry out the refurbishment works on the second-floor wing of the Bateson Building at the John Innes Centre in Norwich. This allowed for the relocation of the Computational & Systems Biology department from their existing location to these new facilities.

The restoration of the 1970’s Bateson Building involved a strip out of existing fixtures and fittings, removal and disposal of internal walls, flooring, ceilings and services. The scheme also included Installation of new acoustic screens and ceilings, plus associated Mechanical & Electrical works to form new offices and break out areas.

The development allows for the future expansion of the CSB department and to be closer to other scientific departments.
