Mills & Reeve Norwich Offices
Pentaco Construction Ltd were selected to carry out the £2.9 Million refurbishment of Mills & Reeve’s Norwich offices. The Design & Build contract was successfully secured following a single stage tendering process which also included a post tender interview and presentation. One of the main purposes of the presentation was for the bidders to put forward their design concept for the project. Pentaco Construction were assisted in this regard by Erin Davidson and Josephine Harkins of Feilden + Mawson Architects, who had established an interior design solution tailored very specifically around the business needs of Mills & Reeve. One of the key areas of the project was the design and installation of the mechanical and electrical package which included hi-tech lighting throughout and a BMS. Other standout features of the project include the entrance foyer bespoke illuminated oak bookcase and the fully glazed atrium stretching above the ground floor restaurant. The works were completed within the 26 week contract programme and to budget. Mills & Reeve Project Manager, Adri Van Der Colff, in commenting on Pentaco Construction noted “We found them very professional and proactive throughout the term of the contract. They have delivered, what we believe to be a very challenging project, to a very high standard.” Chaplin Farrant’s Neil Pedersen was Employers Agent for the project and Ben Lyng of Ingleton Wood, M&E Consultant.
